Diesel Schools It should be noted that like the hot plants the only operational diesels in Great Lakes are the smaller ones used in some of the small boats. The references in the course description are machines in layup used for maintenance/repair hands on. There is a Fair Banks Morse diesel that has been converted to a Front Panel Simulator-used in Great Lakes and all the Submarine Training locations.
